Tresham College Visit
Students have visited Tresham college for an insight into Post 16 courses available. A selection of our year 10 students got a tour of the Wellingborough campus and an opportunity to ask any questions regarding their options for the next chapter in their education. They were able to ascertain entry requirements, the different variety of courses available and what college life was like.
Nija Warrior MK
Those students that reached 100 positive behaviour credits this half term had an amazing experience at Ninja Warrior MK. After breakfast they headed to Milton Keynes where they got the opportunity to complete the course. Both students and staff enjoyed the day inspired by the popular TV series and tested their limits on a gruelling assault course which included the Warped wall.
Marvin from Lemonpop
Marvin from Lemonpop academy attended to deliver an inspirational workshop inspired by Art and was very student led. He pushed students to delve in to ‘who are you’ and got creative initially on paper and later with graffiti art and spray paints.
English and Maths functional skills exams
Students have started completed both Maths and English functional skills exams, the flexibility these offer have been really useful in adapting to our students needs and responding to the most appropriate timing for them. More exams will be sat over the next term and then the focus is fully on the completion of the Vocational Qualifications. The students portfolios are looking healthy and are on track to be completed by the end of May 2022.
Who doesn’t love a cupcake?
We have also rewarded our students who have great attendance. Who doesn’t love a cupcake? And not only that they were specially made by local company Whisk’d. They were very well received and an appropriate reward for students that continue to see the importance of regular attendance and making progress.
