As a reward for all the fantastic behaviour from ReFocus students, we finished the previous half term with a school trip to Frontier Camp. This allowed the students to partake in raft building and a high ropes course, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all – even though students and staff finished the day soaking wet.
As we are going in to the last half term, we are very excited to see all of our year 11 students finishing off their portfolio’s. They have all worked extremely hard over the last year so whilst we are sad to see them leave, they will all be moving on to post 16 placements.
The students have been dedicating themselves to the garden maintenance with block paving due to start on return from the break. Once this is completed, ReFocus will be offering horticulture. Alongside this, the fruits and vegetables that will be grown in the ReFocus garden will be donated to Wellingborough’s food banks.
ReFocus have begun preparation for our returning year 10 students who are looking forward to joining us again next year.
