Students have all been working towards carpentry and joinery units towards their construction qualifications.
They all had the opportunity to make their own Christmas presents and decorations. They learnt new joinery techniques and the end result looks great.
It’s nice to have something they can be proud of to give to people they care about. Snowmen and bird tables have gone home with the students and I’m sure will be proudly displayed.
Some went on to paint their creations whilst others kept the more natural look.
Nonetheless, they all looked so good and is a nice little keepsake for them. Big thanks to Darren, our head of trades who sourced the materials, taught the students the techniques they needed and oversaw all their hard work.
