We will consider all referrals made to us on a case-by-case basis. All referrals that are made will be assessed. The assessment will establish whether Refocus is able to meet the need of the student. We will then invite the student, parent/carer and referring agency for a meeting. At that meeting we will give a tour of the school where you will meet the team, and an individual risk assessment will be carried out. If all parties are happy, we can discuss next steps and a potential start date.
Key worker
Each student is allocated a key worker who provides regular check-ins and acts as the main point of contact.

A short-term, full-time placement designed to support students who need time away from mainstream school. The programme focuses on identifying barriers to learning, providing tailored support, and preparing a smooth reintegration plan.
