Life after ReFocus
Refocus ensures that all students are aware of the options they have, that they are equipped to make decisions and are Ready for their next steps after Refocus.
Throughout the curriculum we have dedicated lessons in careers. Students are taught how to apply for both college and employment, students will learn CV writing, interview preparation and how to navigate ICT in applying, these units of work go towards their qualification in Employability Skills.
Students are given independent advice by Kate Allen, from Careerconsult.uk. Kate will give 1:1 careers advice to all students, she also helps develop a plan of action and encourages work experience.
We continue to develop our work experience program and have had successful placements in local garages, care homes, trade firms and recreational groundsman.
